Well, you are in luck. A Triathlon event is coming to a county near you. Broome County, to be exact. The 2026 Broome County Triathlon is scheduled for Saturday, June 27th, at Dorchester Park at 9 a.m. in Whitney Point, New York.

2026 is the 20th anniversary of the Broome County Triathlon. Competitions are for Individuals (Triathlon, Aquabike, or Duathlon) or 3-Person Teams (Triathlon only), according to Broome County Parks officials.

You don't need to participate. Just come out and cheer on those who are participating. Admission is free.

For those of you who want to participate in the triathlon, online registrations continue to be accepted through June 22, 2026. There will be no race day registrations and no refunds. To register, visit the 2026 Broome County Triathalon website.

The Day's Events!

Triathlon - 1/2 mile swim, 12-mile bike race, 5K (3.1 mile) Run
Aqua bike - 1/2 mile swim, 12 mile bike
Duathlon - 1.5 mile run, 12 mile bike, 3.1 mile run

An awards ceremony will follow after all the races have been completed. A portion of the proceeds goes to the Broome County Parks Accessible Children's Playground Fund to increase opportunities for play for all children.
