Are you like me and have old, unwanted electronics lying around the house or property that you just need to dispose of? Well, there is an event coming up where you can dispose of those unwanted items if you are a resident of Broome County.

Today, May 29, 2026, the Broome County Division of Solid Waste Management announced dates and locations for several upcoming off-site electronics recycling collections for Broome County residents.

Dates And Locations For Electronics Recycling

The first recycling event will be held on Saturday, June 13th, at the Endicott Municipal Lot, located at 7-9 Madison Avenue in Endicott.

On Saturday, July 11th, the second event will be held at the Highway Department in Windsor, located at 174 Chapel Street.

The last event for the summer season will be Saturday, August 15th, at the Park and Ride Lot in Chenango, located at 146 Chenango Bridge Road in Binghamton.

All three electronics recycling events will be from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., rain or shine. And it will be no effort on your part aside from hauling it to these events, because you won't need to leave your vehicles for the event. Rather, electronics will be removed from your vehicle by Broome County staff for recycling.

The three electronics recycling events are for residents of Broome County only. No business or out-of-county residents.

  • Printers
  • TVs
  • VCRs
  • Modems
  • Stereos
  • Laptops
  • Keyboards
  • Radios
  • Fax Machines
  • Pagers
  • Mobile Phones

What Is NOT Accepted?

  •  Countertop Appliances (coffee makers, toasters, can openers, etc.)
  • Batteries
  • Telephones
  • Answering machines
  • Vacuums
  • Humidifiers
  • Smoke Detectors
  • Large Appliances (dryers, washing machines, dishwashers, refrigerators, air conditioners, etc.)
