Fire investigators in Northeast Pennsylvania are looking into the cause of a blaze in Albany Township where charred remains were found.

The Bradford County Coroner says it’s believed 71-year-old Richard Bongiovanni, who lived at the Pelton Hill Road, New Albany home was killed in the December 4 fire.

Coroner Thomas Carman says the remains were discovered in the home at around 11:45 a.m.

An autopsy was scheduled for December 5 at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Binghamton along with routine x-rays, toxicology and blood tests.

No other information was being released.
