The Binghamton Devils finished their preseason schedule over the weekend and now point to the regular season opener this Saturday, October 5 at 7:05 P.M.  The Devils went 1-2 in the preseason splitting a home and home series with Utica and falling to Syracuse 6-2 on Sunday.

At the conclusion of the three preseason games Binghamton General Manager Tom Fitzgerald announced that seven players were released while another two were reassigned to Adirondack in the ECHL.

The Utica Comets are affiliated with the Vancouver Canucks. Following Binghamton's opener on Saturday night the Devils don't play at home again until Saturday, October 19 when they host the Hartford Wolf Pack at 7:05. Binghamton is home just four times in the month of October.

On Wednesday morning guests from the Devils' organization will talk with Roger Neel on News Radio 1290 WNBF at 8:35 about the start of the season.
