Binghamton Collectibles Business Sets Up Shop Downtown
A store that sells sports memorabilia, vintage video games and other collectible items is moving its operations from Binghamton's First Ward to Court Street.
Parlor City Cards and Collectibles is shifting its business from Clinton Street to the downtown location.
Co-owners Leon Jicha and Andy Strong were looking for a more visible site for the store.
Strong said the new location at 37 Court Street will place Parlor City in the "hub of downtown Binghamton."
In recent days, merchandise and equipment has been moved from 171 Clinton Street to the new storefront, which had been home to FreshySites, a website design business.
Strong said Parlor City buys all types of collectibles. He said many people who've seen the recent activity at the Court Street site have stopped in to get information about the business.
In addition to in-store transactions, Strong said Parlor City does a significant amount of business via eBay.
The Court Street store is scheduled to open on Friday.
