More than 60 years ago, it was a common practice for children with intellectual and other developmental disabilities to be placed in state institutions. In 1952, 10 brave families wanted a better life for their children.

They joined with another group of parents in New York to establish what is now called ACHIEVE.. 70 years later they are still going strong in our community but like so many other organizations, they were affected by the pandemic.

2020 had presented some problems for them but that hasn't slowed them down as they continue to make a difference in our community. That's why they are inviting you to participate in the 25th Annual Bob Warner Pin Crushing Classic.

Bob Warner Pin Crushing Classic

It's happening at Midway Lanes and Fun Zone Entertainment Center, 213 North Jensen Road in Vestal. Midway and ACHIEVE are banding together and they are offering an amazing package that is perfect for the whole family.

This also a great way to get together with your co-workers who you haven't seen in a while and have a fun time away from work while helping this fantastic organization.

This year, it'll look a little bit different and it'll be a virtual Bowl-a-Thon but in some ways, it can work out better for you in the long run because you can choose when you want to participate.

What The Bob Warner Pin Crushing Classic Includes

The Bob Warner Pin Crushing Classic is more than just bowling, it also includes a game of laser tag, a ride on the Spin Zone Bumper Cars, pizza, soda, and more. All proceeds help ACHIEVE fund critical services as they provide to over 2,000 people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

The Bowl-a-Thon is going on now through August 31st at Midway Lanes and you can find out more here. It's amazing what you can achieve when we get together and knock down some pins for a greater cause.
