We have so many great local and regional concert venues in New York State and Northeast Pennsylvania.

2024 saw plenty of great concerts at these venues from rock to country to pop and beyond. We were fortunate enough to give away tickets to our listeners to enjoy a great night (or afternoon) of their favorite artists and music. We are looking forward to that again this year.

One of those venues, Bethel Woods Center for the Arts in Bethel, New York, home of the original 1969 Woodstock site, brought in several concerts in their open-air pavilion during the 2024 concert season.

But Bethel Woods is more than just a place to see a great concert, the museum is a must-stop before the show, or just a nice drive from the Binghamton areas to Bethel to take in the museum, featuring the history of Woodstock and that crazy decade of the 1960s.I find it amazing to stand at the bottom of the 1969 concert field and picture 400,000 fans enjoying a weekend of music in August of that year.

USA Today has a feature called 10Best, which covers several categories each year for people to vote for their favorites. Some of the 10Best categories include attractions, restaurants, and things to see and do throughout the country, like cruises, cruise lines,  resorts, hotels, and even concert venues.

The USA Today 10 Best Favorite Music Museum category is open for votes and Bethel Woods Center for the Arts is again in the running this year. There are 20 museums in the running for the title of the best alongside Bethel Woods, including the Blues Hall of Fame in Memphis, the Mowtown Museum in Detroit, and the Woodie Guthrie Center in Tulsa.

Voting for the category continues through February 10, 2025, at Noon Eastern Time. You can vote once a day. The winning museums will be announced by the USA 10Best on Wednesday, February 19th.

By the way, out of all the amazing music museums that were in the top 20 in 2024, Bethel Woods came in at #3. Good luck, Bethel Woods!
