Here's something for wine lovers that can be a fun time any time of the year, but especially during the warmer months of the year, when you can enjoy the outdoor scenery.

That would be visiting one (or more) of the many wineries that dot the Southern Tier of New York and Northeast Pennsylvania. As locals, we know that our little slice of the U.S.A. is famous for winters, especially in the Finger Lakes Region.

According to the Cayuga Lake Wine Trail website, there are over 130 wineries throughout the entire Finger Lakes winery region, including many on Seneca, Cayuga, and Keuka Lakes. While these lakes may boast the most, we have many fine wineries throughout the Southern Tier and Northeastern Pennsylvania as well.

Recently on social media, I asked wine drinkers what winery is their favorite place to go throughout New York's Central and Southern Tier,  or Northeast Pennsylvania. Here are some of the responses I received:

Destiny D. - Saint Joe Winery, Friendsville, Pennsylvania - the people who own it are down-to-earth, it is family-run, and family-friendly! The events they have are the best and memorable. If you know Wayne and Janet, you know they are some of the best people!

Wendy A.  - I suggest Better Daze Winery in Bainbridge and Glen Park Vineyards in Owego.

Jessica G. - Grovedale Winery in Wyalusing, Pennsylvania, has an amazing atmosphere and even better wines! Fun family atmosphere, great staff, and animals!! The events are great too!

Sarah E. - Americana Vineyards Winery in Interlaken, NY. They allow dogs & the owners are fabulous.

Debby F. - Maiolatesi Wine Cellars in Olyphant, Pennsylvania. A great selection of wine, delicious food, and a great atmosphere.

Michelle V. - Montezuma Winery (Cooperstown?)
Jennifer H - Hidden Creek Winery, Laceyville, Pennsylvania.
How about you? What local/regional winery is your favorite to visit?

LOOK: Cool Car Features We Kind of Miss

Kids these days don't know what they're missing out on! But hey, let's be real, some of those old car features were pretty awesome. Yeah, they might've been a bit risky and even tried to kill us, but they made our rides feel way cooler.
