One familiar name is a graduate of Cooperstown High School.  Tyler Bertram, a 6-foot-3 point guard is transferring from the University of Charlotte back to his home area.  Bertram averaged 30 points per game in his last season at Cooperstown and was named the New York State Class 'C'  Co-Player of the Year as well. He is expected to compete for playing time at shooting guard and with the departure of Sam Sessoms to Penn State could be a big scoring boost.

Also joining the Bearcats will be graduate transfer Hunter Crist from Wisconsin-Green Bay. Crist is a point guard and played in 89 games for Green Bay which competes in the Horizon League.  His team finished as the runnerup in the CIT post-season tournament in 2019.

An addition Bryce Beamer joins BU from the junior college ranks.  He averaged 22 minute per game with the College of Central Florida last year.  His team went 25-7 while he led them in 3-pointers with 52 and shot 39 percent from three-point range.  He averaged 8.2 points per game and grabbed 4.5 rebounds per contest.

Binghamton returns nine players from last year's team.  The Bearcats finished the 2019-20 with an overall record of 10-19 and went 4-12 in America East Conference play.  BU finished with a 7-7 record in games played at home at the Events Center.
