Freshman forward George Tinsley has been named the America East Rookie of the Week for his play over the past week.  Tinsley scored a career high 24 points in the Bearcats loss at Loyola University on Sunday night.  He also grabbed 10 rebounds for a double- double.

For the past week the Clarks Summit, Pa. native averaged 19 points and 9.5 rebounds.  He leads all America East freshmen in scoring averaging 12.4 points per game. He is averaging 9 rebounds per game which is third in America East.  This is the second time Tinsley has won the America East Rookie of the Week Award.  He won his first such honor on November 18.

The Bearcats' Brenton Mills also won the America East Rookie of the Week Award on November 25. Tinsley and Mills will help lead the Bearcats into a pair of home games this week.  Binghamton hosts Colgate on Wednesday at 7:00 PM and then remains home to host Boston University this upcoming Saturday at 2:00 PM.  Both games will also be broadcast on News Radio 1290 WNBF.
