Autistic Man Missing in Endwell
New York State Police say an Autistic man who recently moved to Endwell from Staten Island has been missing since November 8.
44-year-old Gregory Gale Junior left his home at around 10:45 a.m. and has not returned. Troopers say Gale moved to Endwell a few months ago, does not know the area well and does not have a cell phone.
Authorities say the man, who has a mental development of a 5-year-old, regularly walks to the Speedway on East Main Street and was seen there at around 11 Sunday morning.
Gale is described as Black, with a light complexion, has a mustache and goatee, brown eyes and wears his black hair in a short Afro-style. He stands about 6 feet tall and weighs 260-270 pounds. He was last seen wearing a green camouflage jacket, light blue jeans and black sneakers.
Troopers say Gale will not initiate a conversation but will speak to people who engage him in conversation.
