The Bradford County Coroner says a 55-year old Athens, Pennnsylvania man was killed in a crash on Willawanna Road September 30.

Authorities say Paul May Junior was alone in the 2000 Pontiac Coup that left the road for an unknown reason at around 2:43 p.m., crossed the road, hit an embankment and rolled into a culvert.

Coroner Thomas Carman pronounced May dead at the scene.

Athens Police said May’s car was traveling east near White Wagon Road when his car left the right side of the road, went back onto the road, crossed into the westbound lane and the left the road again, crashing into the embankment and rolling into the ditch.

The crash closed the road for about two hours.

The Coroner says the investigation is continuing.
