Firefighters from several departments battled a fast-moving blaze that tore through an Endicott home.

The fire at 103 Parsons Avenue was reported around 8 a.m. Tuesday.

Neighbors said they believed several people from a single family lived in the two-and-a-half story house.

Minutes after the fire was reported, flames engulfed the front portion of the building.

A man and a woman were seen on stretchers being evaluated by medics. People nearby said they believed a boy had sustained burns to his back.

Firefighters emerged with one person who had been trapped inside the house.

Parsons Avenue was closed between Broad Street and Florence Street because of firefighting operations.
