April is just hours away and that means The Binghamton Rumble Ponies, formerly The Binghamton Mets, are gearing up for another exciting year of baseball here in the Southern Tier.

It starts this Tuesday at 5:30 with the annual "Meet The Players Dinner" at the Holiday Inn in downtown Binghamton. You can meet the players and the new manager Luis Rojas. Plus, you will get the inside scoop on the new improvements at NYSEG Stadium, and a ticket for opening night April 13th.

I can't wait for those warm summer nights watching the games with a cold beer in my hand. Not to mention the awesome food at NYSEG Stadium. Seriously, I doubt if any team in AA Baseball has better food than we do at the stadium. And if you can't make it to the games you can tune in to our sister station 1290 WNBF for the play by play action.

I do have a question though. When it was the B-Mets the stadium was nicknamed "The Hive", What will it be called now, "The Stable"? Whatever they want to call it is fine by me, I'm just glad they didn't name the team "The Stud Muffins". I could not go to a game and chant, Let's go Stud Muffins!
