As the days get longer and we get closer to Spring, more events are happening in the Southern Tier!

From Balls to Valentine's Day dinners, to church services, enjoy all that we have going on.

 

Let's start with 2 Balls. There's nothing like getting all dressed up for a good cause.

The Chenango SPCA is holding its 10th annual Valentine Fur Ball on Saturday from 7 to 11 pm at the Canasawacta Country Club in Norwich. The event helps the CSPCA care for abused and homeless animals. For ticket info, call 334-9724 ext. 6 or go to the CSPCA website.

The Town of Union Parks & recreation Department hosts their 24th annual Father Daughter Ball on Friday and Saturday at the McKinley at Huron Campus in Endicott from 7 to 9:30 pm. The event is for girls ages 6 to 12 and their father, male guardian or adult male relative. Pre-registration is required. Call 786-2998.

Church of the Holy Family, 3600 Phyllis Street in Endwell, is having a Winter Clothing Sale on Friday from 9 am to 6 pm. The $3 bag sale is from 3 to 6.

The Endicott Elks Friday night dinner special is liver and onions along with their regular menu. It’s served from 5 to 8 pm. Then it’s entertainment by Band of Gold from 8 to 11 pm.

The 45th annual Operation Arbor Green tree and shrub sale sponsored by the Broome County Soil and Water Conservation District is underway! Orders for large or small quantities will be taken until April 3rd. Contact the District office at 724-9268 to place your order or for info.

The Kalurah Shrine, 625 Dickson Street in Endicott,  is hosting a fireside breakfast buffet on Sunday from 8 am to 11 am. It’s $5.50, children 7 and under eat free.

A Benefit Dinner for the Apalachin Library is being held on February 22nd from 5 to 8 pm at the Blue Dolphin Restaurant on Route 434 in Apalachin.  You’ll enjoy a delicious dinner and help the community. Tickets much be bought in advance by February 14th.  Call 323-3043 for info and tickets.

Our Savior Lutheran Church, 731 Hooper Road in Endwell is having a night of Chili and Music on Sunday beginning at 3. Enjoy music by Watson Abbey followed by a free chili supper!

Endwell United Methodist Church, 3301 Watson Blvd.,  is hosting an interactive workshop, The Five Love Languages, on Valentine’s Day from 7 to 9 pm.  Anyone interested in building strong relationships is welcome to attend this free night.  To register or for info, call the church office by February 10th.

There’s a Valentine buffet breakfast at the Harpursville United Methodist Church on Saturday from 7:30 to 11 am.

The Endwell United Methodist Church, 3301 Watson Blvd.,  is having a Doug’s Fish Fry and bake sale on February 13th from 11 am to 6 pm to benefit mission trips to Haiti.

The Maine Masonic Lodge is having a roast beef dinner on Saturday from 4:30 to 6 pm at the Lodge. Take outs available.
