One of my favorite songs by Santana is "Oye Como Va." It's got a cool beat and flow. Very catchy.

For years I've been putting off looking up the mean of the phrase, since I am not fluent in Spanish. Well, I finally did and the meaning is not what it should be!

In street language, "Oye Como Va" should mean "Hey. How's it going?" But that makes no sense in the context of the song Tito Puente wrote. Knowing his style, I did some digging and came up with a consensus.

"Oye Como Va" means "listen to how my rhythm goes.

And now you know!

Enjoy the song done in a cheesy kind of way by Brent Spiner in "Out To Sea".  I'll take Santana's version!
