I have blogged about the many scenic places in New York State that you can visit this time of year, so here's another reason I love New York.

This past weekend we took a trip to Alexandria Bay, which is part of the Thousand Islands region along the St Lawrence River.

There are many sights to see in the bay from Boldt Castle, Wellesley Island to Keewaydin State Park, and many boats tours and excursions you can take.

This area is right on the border so you can cross over into Canada if you like.

Its about a 2 and a half to three hour drive right up route 81 North, so you can do it in a day. However, I would suggest you book one of the many rooms right along the water, most have a beautiful view!

Another 'Trip on a Tank' to a great New York State destination, and another reason I love New York!
