The warmer weather is here (well almost) and I thought I would reflect on one of the trips my wife and I have taken to one of the many scenic places in New York State
.
Last summer we took a trip to Alexandria Bay, which is part of the Thousand Islands region along the St. Lawrence River.

There are many sights to see in the bay from Boldt Castle, Wellesley Island to Keewaydin State Park, and many boats tours and excursions you can take.

This area is right on the border so you can cross over into Canada if you like.

It's about a 2.5- to 3-hour drive right up route 81 North, so you can do it in a day. However, I would suggest you book one of the many rooms right along the water -- most have a beautiful view!

Another 'Trip on a Tank' to a great New York State destination, and another reason I love New York!
