Throwback Thursday: John Glenn Orbits The Earth

It's time to get historical! Throwback Thursday is about something I was too young to witness; John Glenn becoming the first man to orbit the earth.

This was a huge deal! Since Glenn's birthday was this month, I thought it fit. It's cool to see the reporting of this huge event. And ticker tape parades? I can't recall one in my lifetime.

It's a shame Americans became so "whatever" about the space program. I was always fascinated by space flights even until the last Shuttle mission.
