Throwback Thursday: Bosom Buddies [VIDEO]

How often can you say that a cheesy tv show launched an iconic career? Maybe once or twice?

Here is one; Tom Hanks in “Bosom Buddies”.  Holland Taylor went on to become the bitch mom is “Two and A Half Men”, Donna Dixon (Sunny) became Mrs. Dan Ackroyd and starred in “Spies Like Us”,  and Peter Scolari was on “Newhart .”

Nobody shot to stardom like Tom Hanks though. It was immediate. But then, he was very funny in the show! Oh, and he met future wife Rita Wilson on the set. Billy Joel’s “My Life” was the original theme song,too.

One of my favorite movies that Hanks was in was “Apollo 13.” Santana’s song “Waiting” was in it too.
