Sochi Olympics Team USA Loaded with Upstate Athletes

The 2014 Winter Olympics kick off February 6th in Sochi, Russia and wrap up on the 23rd.

I have been concerned for Team USA because of the terror threats and word that at least 3 "black widow" attackers are at large. Then I wondered how if we have any athletes from the area competing.

I found the official team roster and scrolled through all 79 pages. You would think you could view by state, but no! I discovered that no one from the Binghamton area is competing, but there is a huge contingent from Upstate.

The athletes closest to us are:

Bill Morehouse-Utica - Curling Team
Mark Mooner- Ithica-Curling
Megan Hill-Woodstock-Bobsled

Throughout the Winter Games, we will keep you posted on Team USA's successes.
