I have never had the pleasure of going to Zona & Co. Grille before today. I am so glad I did! That's the beauty of restaurant week, you get to experience new places and flavors.

My coworker Karin and I strolled down Washington Street (I get why they call it Gorgeous!) to 15 Hawley Street and the patio of Zona. What a pleasant surprise; we could dine outside. Look how inviting it is!

Now then, since we were going to be nice and relaxed, we were ready to focus on the food. First came the appetizers (duh!). Karin picked the pasta and bean salad. It was loaded with ingredients and was apparently tasty. I had the personal chips and dip with their gluten free tortilla chips and salsa. It was nice and light so I'd have room for everything else.

Up next: the entrees! I got the Fish and Chips. The fish was beer battered to perfection. There is just a hint of the beer. Oh was it good.  Karin had the Buffalo Chicken Mac & Cheese.  I thought about having that. It looked and smelled delicious. Karin thoroughly enjoyed it and even had a bit left over. Well, we did have to save room for dessert.

After enjoying the breeze and sun from the patio, having a good conversation, and eating the scrumptious food, it was time for dessert. As soon ans we heard the word "chocolate" we both knew what to have; the chocolate mousse cake.

Oh my. It was not too heavy and had little chocolate pellets on it that crunched. What a cool surprise. It was drizzled with chocolate and had whipped cream on the side. If you like chocolate, you will be over the moon for this. And we were.

A few observations: The atmosphere was terrific. Anna, our server was pleasant and witty. The food... superb. Our visit was very enjoyable.

Whether you head out on a date or hang with coworkers, Zona & Co. Grille is a place you want to go to. Don't take my word for it, though, try Zona with Restaurant Week.
