Tomorrow will mark the third time that a President has visited our area. President's Reagan and Clinton were the other two.

This is a unique opportunity to showcase our assets to the world; and make sure they can pronounce our name! One of the best ways to show off is to have president Obama visit our coolest sites, so I asked you where they should be.

If you can think of a better place to take the Prez, let us know!

    The Carousels

We are the only area in America, if not the world, to have 6 carousels in a very compact radius. They were the gift of one of the men who built up and "made" our home a great place to live, so the President should absolutely experience at least one of the rides.

    Plus, it's fun!

    Confluence park/South Washington Street Bridge

When I discovered these gems, I wondered why more people didn't visit daily. Yes, we have Blues on the Bridge, but this is a magnificent park and bridge!

The historical statues and plaques give it even more importance. A must stop for the President.

    The Court Street Circle

We add this one, tongue in cheek, because the President's bus would get stuck and that would be funny as hell!

    Flood Stricken Apalachin

In my opinion, the world needs to realize that you don't recover from floods in a year. For some reason, our area is supposed to be fine 2 years later, but if you drive through parts of Apalachin, you can clearly see that isn't the case.

    The Broome County Library

This may seem like an odd choice, but the library is chock full of our history. The President could see all the programs the library has for people of all ages and enjoy a walk through history with County Historian Gerald Smith.

I've done it, and it is cool!
