It's Gynecological Cancer Awareness Month, so naturally someone had to do a poll about it. Normally, I would joke about it, but the results made me shake my head.

Here is the shocker. One thousand women, in Britain, were asked about female reproductive health issues and a full HALF of the young women, between the ages of 26 to 35, could not locate their "V part". Seriously.

So, apparently, all that 'sex education" taught in schools isn't covering basic anatomy? This is astoundingly ridiculous.

Even worse was the fact that only one quarter of women ages 16 to 25 felt well informed about gynecological health issues. Considering the many health problems that could arise, and most serious, this is unbelievable.

The worst result from this poll was that a hefty amount of these young women stay away from the OB-GYN due to embarrassment! Where are their mothers? As embarrassing as it was, my Mom was right there with me for "health class" when I was in the 8th grade.

If there is a young woman in your life, make sure she is seeing the right doctors and talking to the right people, as reproductive cancers are striking more and more young women and are deadly unless caught early in a full 40 percent of cases.

My sister-in-law died at age 36 from one of them. That is too young and so is being in their 20's.

Thanks to the UK's Telegraph publication for sharing this. You could safely assume that U.S. results would closely mirror this.
