Twenty-eight days and counting until NASCAR kicks off its season at the Daytona 500.

Whew! With football wrapping up, there will be a slight lull in sports action, but we can look forward to February 22nd.

According to NASCAR, which released the full schedule today, 2015 will not see any changes in the Chase setup, thank goodness. I liked the first year of the new Chase. It worked well.

It will be the last season for Jeff Gordon to be driver of the #24. Imagine a "tribute season" like Derek Jeter got in baseball only bigger. Many of the drivers have expressed shock at the news.

There will be some new comers, like Bill Elliott's son Chase. He will be driving part time in Sprint Cup as he defends his XFinity Series championship. In the booth, NBC will add Dale Jarrett to its broadcasts. We will also continue to hold our collective breath that broadcaster Steve Byrnes conquers his recurrence of cancer.

Who will be feuding? Who will be this year's bad boy? Who will end up Champion? We will see. I can tell you, I will keep you in the loop all season long!

Welcome to NASCAR 2015!
