Myth Busted: Lightning Does Strike Vehicles

I remember being told as a kid that I would always be safe from lightning if I was in a vehicle. The rubber tires would stop the lightning from conducting through the car.

That may be true, but you may not be safe, as evidenced by this crazy story. A couple in Canada was driving their pickup truck on a rural road when the heard a huge noise and then their truck was engulfed in flames.
