Memorial Day is not about summer, although somehow it has morphed into being so. It is about remembering and honoring military service members who gave the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom.

My great Uncle Robert N. Exton was one of those. He died saving his unit at Guadalcanal during WWII. He is why I love service members and think they need to be honored more than just once a year. But Memorial Day will do. Please honor the fallen by going to an roll call, memorial service or parade. If it weren't for my great uncle and so many others, we would not be free.

Here are some events. Feel free to add more events in the comment section.
