Having Fun At Work Is Essential

Let's face it, there is a reason work is the perfect word for what people do for a living. It's not a friendly word and it sounds tough. Well, it is. But that doesn't mean there can't be any fun while working.

Our Holly Dagger was talking with Traci Taylor from the Hawk about wigs one minute and the next they planned our "Wig Wednesday"! Most people are on board for it (except Big Wally).

While Holly and Traci just want to have fun, what they are accomplishing is much bigger. Team building. Industrial Psychologists recommend "team building" exercises to most companies. It creates a common purpose with fun added in and the walls come down, if you know what I mean.

Wig Wednesday gives us something common to share, like an inside joke that is all inclusive. That is what counts! So, brainstorm with workers about your Wig Wednesday or Hawaiian Shirt Thursday, or whatever you want to do. Have fun with it and build a better work place.
