Facts That Make You Say ‘Hmmm’

I am at it again! Giving you fun and seemingly useless information to break up the "blah" that invades your day! Here are some facts i couldn't resist sharing.

1. While cat videos are a hot property these days, the first one was not made as recently as you think. Try 1894! Thomas Edison was the culprit who filmed two cats boxing in a ring. Seriously.

2. There was a pig in Australia who went on a bit of a rampage by stealing 18 beers from a campsite, getting drunk and then fighting a cow. Yes, he was apprehended.

3. A lunar eclipse lasts about 80 minutes. That is much longer than people expect.

4. On the topic of animals, dogs do get jealous. If they nudge you while you are paying attention to another animal or give you " the stink eye", it's not imagined. That is real jealousy!

5. "TIME" magazine's name actually stands for something: The International Magazine of Events.

6. A movie is being made based on the game Tetris. Why? I have no clue.

7. Leaf blowing takes the same amount of time as raking. If you think you are doing yourself a favor by not hand raking your leaves, you are wrong! At least with raking you are burning calories.

8. During a case, while attempting to demonstrate how a person could accidentally shoot himself, Ohio defense lawyer Clement Vallandigham shot himself and died. He won the case.

9. The cigarette lighter was invented before the match.

10. Sharks and rays are the only animals, known to man, that do not get cancer.
