I can't count the times someone has come up to me and asked why we don't have more rock shows at the Broome County Arena.
Well, there are several factors, depending on the act, and it isn't the 70s and 80s anymore when we used to have a show almost every month come into town.
But this year two shows have already been locked in - The Dropkick Murphys on Saturday, March 9th, and Styx on Tuesday, March 26th. So, two great shows in one month.
The first show, Dropkick Murphys is on the road in 2024 for their annual St. Patrick's Day Tour. It kicked off on February 13 and rocks through its annual return to Boston from March 14th to the 17th. Special guests are Pennywise and The Scratch.
I had the opportunity to talk with lead singer Ken Casey about the band's 2024 tour, things you didn't know about the group, and what to expect when they dropkick into Binghamton.
