Motley Crue's Smoking in the Boys Room...Nope it’s a remake… the original was written and recorded by Brownsville Station; it reached number 3 on the Billboard singles chart in 1973.

Motley Crue released the remake in 1985 and it was their first top 40 hit, but fell short of the original version, only reaching number 16 on the Billboard singles chart.
