I found out on Friday, the 50th anniversary of the assassination of President John F. Kennedy, that we have a memorial and park dedicated to the man!

After I found out this park existed, I did an informal poll and discovered that not many people remembered it stands. Wow. Well, as a public service, I will tell you that it is near the corner of Chenango and Henry Streets, near the bus station.

The park was renovated in 2009 and is quite lovely. It is small, but serves the purpose of relaxation. A memorial to the late president sits in the middle.

Kennedy Park was built in the 1960's and Ethel Kennedy was present for the dedication.

Now that we know it exists, let's use it!
