Are Lifestyle Contracts Necessary? [POLL]

Photo by Ewen Roberts via CC

The new fad seems to be lifestyle contracts. It’s like a pre-nup but is full of rules including the use of drugs and alcohol, weight restrictions and cheating. Celebrities started the trend about 10 years ago, but now the average Joe is using it.

Nicole Kidman had Keith Urban sign one because of his past substance abuse. Catherine Zeta-Jones had Michael Douglas sign one for a variety of reasons (sadly, we found out tmi about that last week).

I don’t know if I like it. my opinion is that the vows you take during your ceremony are the same thing and the ring should remind you everyday. Couples are even using these as post-nups well into their marriage now, too. I would sign one, but only if it didn’t go overboard. How about you?
