You Need To Know What ISIS Is [VIDEO]

In case you have not heard of ISIS or ISIL, let's get you up to speed. If you do know, there's more to the story.

The group is known by two names: Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) or  Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS).

Their stated goal is simple: to rule all of the Muslim world and to do so by the way they interpret the law. They also believe that if you do not convert to their Islamist view, you should and will be slaughtered. They don't care if you are Muslim or Christian, Hindu or Buddhist. Comply or die.

This group was around before and was the fore runner to Al-Qaeda.

Because of the lopsided Iraqi government that, allegedly discriminated against the Sunni faction, the group grew. When the U.S. left Iraq, ISIS began to grow and then took advantage of the Syrian civil war to branch out and start taking territory.

Remember the Muslim Brotherhood? The group that we helped to power, that got kicked out of Egypt? Well, ISIS emerged from that group's ideology. They want to purify Islam like Hitler wanted to purify the World. Only those worthy will survive. They want to return to the earliest, as they see it, form of Islam.

Why are they dangerous to us? Because we are protecting those who are opposed to ISIS. Hundreds have been raped and killed by this group in Iraq. We are also in their cross hairs because we are Western thinkers.

ISIS has mastered the art of propaganda and uses it so well that even a man in our own state has worked to funnel money to them and some Americans are fighting alongside them. Then those fighters return home, we will be their new targets.
