Monday, October 10 is "World Mental Health" Day but with all the dumpster fires going on around us, we need more then a day to talk and raise awareness about all the mental issues that we are facing.

Every time that we turn on the news, we see the latest outrage and tragedies. I'm hearing more stories about kids taking their lives and even more children hooked on drugs to try and escape the world that surrounds them.

It's a silent killer that we need to give voice to. It's almost epidemic and it's frightening. More than ever we need to look for the signs and to be ready to do what it takes to help them...and yourself. That's right, don't forget about yourself too.

We are facing problems like rising gas and heating prices along with inflation that running downhill with no brakes. It's also election season so we are inundated with all of our politicians being too "extreme." Apparently "extreme" is this years buzzword.

In this social media world with keyboard warriors lashing out and cancel culture trying to shut you up, it's no wonder that so many people young and old are struggling so much. The enemy is busy isolating us and making us feel alone with no where and no one to turn too.

I say this all the time because it's true: Before you do something drastic, remember that there is somebody that will miss you and miss you greatly. If you feel embarrassed or ashamed to admit your struggles, there are places for your to turn.
