Welcome to September. Before you know it, the flakes will begin to fly. Why am I saying that? I hate Winter.

Back to September. The 12th to be exact. 1975. That's when Pink Floyd's 'Wish You Were Here' album was released in the UK. The U.S. release came a day later. This album was the ninth studio release for the band.

Two songs on side A and three on side B. No one complained about that, and why should they. The tunes on the album were classic and long enough to warrant the shortage of tunes.Shine On You Crazy Diamond, Welcome To The Machine, Have A Cigar and Wish You Were Here. All classic rock tunes that we'll never get tired of hearing.

For this week's Classic Rock throwback Thursday, I have chosen the title track, Wish You Were Here recorded live to enjoy. What a powerful performance.
