Why You Should Have A Bucket List
Let's face it, we all get into a rut in our lives. We go to work, come home, do household chores, eat dinner, watch TV, spend a little time with the family and go to bed. And repeat.
The lack of disposable cash doesn't help. What we need is some adventure! Here's a thought; you can make a bucket list that isn't costly.
Before I met my husband, some of the things on my bucket list were:
1. Have a New Years Eve kiss like in "When Harry met Sally"
2. Go for a picnic in a park
3. See a wild bear
All have been checked off thanks to hubby. And in one year! The bear sighting took a while.
They are simple, but doable things! My list is plenty long but infused with similarly easy tasks. I certainly don't want to skydive like former President George H. W. Bush did on his 80th birthday!
I would like to go on a wine tasting tour, visit the Statue of Liberty, visit the Midwest. You get the idea.
A bucket list helps us look to the future AND get us off the couch. Trust me, we need to get out more!
What about a family bucket list? When was the last time you and the kids went hiking or swimming (not in a pool)? Nature offers a great deal to choose from.
I could go on and on with ideas, but I will let you handle this part. If you need ideas, there are several websites that offer help. Like www.bucketlist.org. Don't kick this down the road. (I couldn't resist).
