Things in the Southern Tier are challenging and will continue to be. There will be no casino at Traditions at the Glen or at Tioga Downs.  Lago in Seneca County was approved instead.

To me, the fact that Seneca County was lumped into the "Eastern Southern Tier Region" was a clear sign that our area was going to be locked out. I have only been here for 5 years, but I see our Southern Tier being treated as a "red-headed stepchild" by the powers that be in Albany.

Unemployment is flat and manufacturing is down here. I don't see Albany doing anything. They appear not to care to do anything.  It's frustrating. I see such opportunity here and local incentives are plentiful, but the State isn't putting its muscle into any economic growth. At least not past the field of technology.

No offense to the field of technology, but many of us don't want to be forced into that field!

How angry are you about our treatment? What are you going to do about it?
