Who Is Coming to the 2021 DICK’S Sporting Goods Open
Well, 2021 is here and everything has returned back to normal...Okay, it hasn't but that's not going to stop me from looking forward in the new year. One of the things that I can't wait for is the DICK'S Sporting Goods Open at En-Joie Golf Club in Endicott happening June 28th through July 4th.
Last year, it was canceled because of COVID-19 but this year, they'll be celebrating the 50th anniversary of professional golf in Broome County. For me, it's one of the biggest weekends of the year, and it'll be happening during the July 4th weekend.
Ever since the PGA Tour Champions came to En-Joie Golf Course for the DICK'S Sporting Goods Open, Dad and I would get together in the morning on the final day and watch some of the best golfers over 50 in the world play.
So who is coming to this year's event? Well, we know who the first formal commitment is and it's the Most Interesting Golfer in the World. None other than Miguel Angel Jimenez will be making his return to the area.
He first visited our neck of the woods in 2016 and has been a fixture here ever since. He's not slowing down with two wins in 2020 and is currently ranked in the top 15 in the Charles Schwab Cup Standings for the 2020-2021 warp-around season.
Who do you hope comes to the 2021 DSG Open? Go here to keep up with the latest commitments and to see the 50th-anniversary logo.
Speaking of golf, if you can't wait till the white stuff turns to green at your favorite course, go here to get your 2021Clubhouse Card with green fees at 27 of the area's best courses and six buckets of balls at the Greater Golf Training Center and Pro Shop.
