A 16-year-old boy has been arrested following an investigation into a threat directed against Whitney Point High School.

Authorities say Emmanuel Coy has been charged with making a terroristic threat, a felony.

According to New York State Police, Coy was arrested around 11 p.m. Saturday.

Officials say the action was a result of an ongoing investigation into a previous threat against the northern Broome County school. That probe was responsible for the arrest another teenager on February 15.

Investigators say Coy was arraigned at the central booking facility at the Broome County Sheriff's Office. He was sent to the county jail on $2,500 bail.

Police say the investigation did not reveal a threat to the school or to the public.

The Broome County District Attorney's Office assisted state police investigators in reviewing the threat.
