Looks like the government will be rolling out a third round of stimulus checks but when do we get them?

I got a letter a couple weeks ago talking about the second stimulus check that I have not gotten yet, and now they are getting ready for a third round of stimulus checks but this time they are $1,400.

According to WOOD, this week the House will give final approval for the new $1.9 trillion federal pandemic relief package. Once President Biden inks the approved deal the checks should be hitting mailboxes and direct deposits.

If you have received previous payments that were direct deposit from the Internal Revenue Service, you could get your $1,400 next week.

If you got your previous relief checks via mail then it will take a bit longer to receive those.

This is the breakdown on who is eligible for receiving the 3rd stimulus check:

  • $1,400 for a single taxpayer
  • $2,800 for a married couple
  • Individuals who earn up to $75,000 get the full amount
  • Married couples earning up to $150,000 get the full amount
  • The cut off for a lesser individual payment is $80,000
  • The cut off for a lesser married payment is $160,000

It looks like 85% of Americans will get some sort of payment. College students and disabled adults will be eligible this time around.

Will Biden sign the checks like Trump? No.

This will be much needed relief for 30% of Americans whose income is now lower than it was before the pandemic.

Last time a stimulus deal was made, it was only a matter of days before the checks and direct deposits went out and should be the same this time around as well.
