Walmart Issues Apology for Santa Cocaine Sweater
This morning while I was looking for Strange But True stories I found one about Walmart apologizing for a sweater that featured a snowman, looking Santa as a 'South Park' character, in front of three lines of cocaine with a straw in his hand and a say that said 'Let It Snow'.
Snow is slang for cocaine.
This sweater appears to be one of many adult themed swweaters that were removed from the company's website.
Walmart apologize for allowing a third party company to post the sweater for sale through its Canadian website. The Global News Canada quoted a Walmart spokesperson as saying,
These sweaters, sold by a third-party seller on Walmart.ca, do not represent Walmart’s values and have no place on our website. We have removed these products from our marketplace. We apologize for any unintended offence this may have caused.
This was one of many sweaters that were for sale on Walmart's Canadian website under the “Ugly Christmas Sweater” category. According to the report, the Santa cocaine sweater featured the description,
We all know how snow works. It’s white, powdery and the best snow comes straight from South America. That’s bad news for jolly old St. Nick, who lives far away in the North Pole.
Several other Christmas sweaters with adult themes also appear to have been taken down off the Walmart Canadian website. They include a chestnuts roasting sweater, snowman upside down sweater with his carrot hanging around the belt buckle, Santa about to receive an anal probe from an alien, and Santa being whipped by a dominatrix. Click here and scroll down to see those sweaters.
As it turns out, while Walmart won't sell you sweaters of Santa enjoying some... activites, Amazon will.
