Heart disease and stroke don't move aside because of COVID-19. While COVID-19 forced the delay of the originally scheduled April 5 Southern Tier Heart Walk organizers are set to hold a "virtual" walk this Sunday, April 26.

With large gatherings still prohibited this Sunday's walk with have a totally different look.  You are invited to participate wherever you are.  The "virtual" walk can take place around your property, your neighborhood or somewhere like the Vestal Rail Trail as long as social distancing guidelines are observed.  And...you can get your cardio workout in by other means also.  Perhaps it's playing with your kids or working out at home. There is no official start time.  Share your photos at #BingHeartWalk.

There are two goals.  One, certainly, is to get some exercise.  Burn some calories, get a workout in as long as you are physically able to do so. The second goal is to help in the overall fight against heart disease and stroke.  Heart disease is the leading killer in our country.  It would be hard to find someone who has not been touched by heart disease or stroke in some manner.  It could be a relative, a friend, a fellow worker or you.
