When I went to college, we took the old boring classes: Literature, Art Appreciation, World History. Oh to be in college now! There are some "different" courses you can take, but they may not be worth the money. Or they may be!

First up, two interesting courses offered by Cornell. Tree Climbing teaches you the science of climbing a tree. They also offer Gossip. No, you won't be reading TMZ! You will actually be looking at gossip through a psychology prospective.

Philosophy and Star Trek is offered by Georgetown University. So, if you love the series (new or old) and want to see life through that lens, which you probably already do, go for it!

University of Rochester offers a course called "Alien Sex." Seriously. It's a course. It's offered through the Selznick Graduate Program in Film and Media Preservation. Apparently, it delves into sexual issues between humans and non-humans. I wonder how they researched this course!

And my favorite course. It is newly offered by the University of Pennsylvania. "Wasting Time on the Internet" is a 3 hour weekly course that has you communicate only on the internet through social media, bots and chat rooms. You get credit towards your English Major too! I do that every day. Can I get credit?

No wonder college costs so much...
