The NFL has released the names of their 2010's All-Decade Team. The list features The best of the best that have played each position in the National Football League over the last 10 years.

One of the names that made the team should sound familiar to sports fans here in the Southern Tier. Union-Endicott graduate Chandler Jones made the list for Outside Linebackers.

Other NFL greats that made the defensive team include J.J. Watt, Julius Peppers, Fletcher Cox, Aaron Donald, Von Miller, and Richard Sherman to name a few.

After hearing the news, Jones took two Twitter to say that he was honored to make the all-decade team. He also thanked his teammates and coaches from both the Cardinals and the Patriots for helping him along the way.

After playing football at Syracuse University, the 2007 U.E. grad was drafted by the New England Patriots. He was part of the Patriots Championship team in Super Bowl 49. He was traded to the Arizona Cardinals in 2016 and has been there since. He has been named to the Pro Bowl twice in 2015 and 2017.

Jones was in the news two weeks ago for donating food to food banks in Arizona and here in Broome County to help people in need during the Covid-19 crisis. Chandler donated 150,000 meals in total to St Mary's Food Bank in Arizona and Mother Teresa's Cupboard in Endicott New York.

Chandler's brother Arthur played eight seasons in the NFL winning a Superbowl ring with the Baltimore Ravens, and his brother Jon "Bones" Jones won the Light Heavyweight title in the U.F.C.
