According to the Binghamton Press and Sun Bulletin, a popular all-night chicken joint on the west side of Binghamton has closed. A sign which reads, "closed" is what greeted customers of Main Street's Kennedy Fried Chicken on Monday.

While well loved, Kennedy Fried Chicken has been surrounded by a long history of criminal activity which lead the City of Binghamton to threaten to close the business several times under the lockdown law.

According to the City of Binghamton, the Public Nuisance (also known as lockdown) Law allows City authorities the ability to "give owners of nuisance properties notice and an opportunity to prevent further problems, and to lockdown those properties that refuse to come into compliance."

It's not known whether Kennedy Fried Chicken was closed down by the City or by the owner, Badshah Khan as the Press and Sun were unable to reach him for comment.
