Tioga County Sheriff's officials say they are attempting to identify a red pickup truck seen in the area of a fatal crash in Newark Valley.

According to a news release issued by the Sheriff's officials on July 10, Emergency Services dispatchers received a 911 call reporting a single vehicle roll-over crash on State Route 38 near Suburban Propane in the Town of Newark Valley at 8:36 p.m. July 2.

Investigators say a 1999 Chevrolet 1500 pickup was traveling north on State Route 38 when it left the east shoulder and rolled over several times.

49-year-old Scott Vanerson Newark Valley, who was alone in the truck was taken to Wilson Memorial Regional Medical Center in Johnson City where he was pronounced dead.

The Sheriff's office says the investigation is continuing and they are attempting to identify and locate a red Chevrolet pickup truck that was seen in the area around the time of the crash.
