Allies in Substance Abuse Prevention (ASAP) is getting $124,000 over the next five years from the Drug Free Communities Grant.

“ASAP” coalition project director Christina Olevano says the group has been unfunded for two year and will be able to use the money to hire a full-time coordinator as well and finance its 12-month action plan for reducing youth substance abuse.

The project is supported by the Community Services Board and the Tioga County Legislature.
