Pro hockey continues to be on "pause" indefinitely.  Until the National Hockey League (NHL) comes to a determination of when or if play can  resume the American Hockey League (AHL) is stymied too. There was talk about beginning to get limited groups of players  together to skate in early May but that has been pushed back indefinitely.

The NHL and NHLPA (NHL Player's Association) met on Wednesday to discuss the situation.  The meeting adjourned with the thought that the league and players will move forward in line with guidance provided by medical experts and local authorities.

According to results released from that meeting the earliest potential return to group workouts would be mid to late May. With three to four weeks of conditioning and practice that would push any possible return to game competition into June.
