On this day in 1981, Walter Cronkite anchored his last newscast for the CBS network.

Since it's Throwback Thursday, I thought we would revisit some of the news moments that made Mr. Cronkite the most trusted news anchor in our history.

I remember him as straightforward and upright. As I kid, I sat up and took notice. I believe many adults did too! Enjoy this TBT moment.
